Our client, a well-established manufacturing organisation is seeking to employ a Production Supervisor.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Ensure efficient production through sound planning and control
• Ensure production of outputs on time and according to specifications
• Liaise with other departments to facilitate optimal production
• Co-ordinate workload and manning to ensure optimum productivity
• Liaise with ink supplier regarding the quality of supply and service
• Maintain excellent industrial relations via fair application of procedures
• Actively manage the reduction of waste
• Ensure the application of QC procedures and compliance with ISO
• Succession planning, talent management, training, and development.
• Manage absenteeism and back-to-work interviews
• Ensure that company disciplinary code and procedures are adhered to
• Develop and motivate subordinates

REQUIREMENTS:

• Matric plus accredited Production Management qualification preferred
• Minimum 5 years experience in packaging or related industry with exposure to cross-disciplinary activities
• Ability to work rotating shifts
• Extensive supervisory-level experience in the corrugating industry preferred
• Good people management skills
