—Our client, in the Franschhoek / Paarl area, requires a hardworking, reliable and committed sales assistant to join the team in their deli and shop.
Qualification: Matric and relevant qualification in sales will be an advantage
Experience: minimum 1 year sales experience
Minimum requirements
- The ability to communicate effectively
- The ability to read and write
- A professional appearance
- A friendly and outgoing demeanour
- A concern for others and a desire to help
- Knowledge of point of sale systems
- Strong customer service skills
- Sales, preferably in retail sales;
- Own transport.
- Prepare to work retail hours which include weekends
Key functions
- Greeting customers
- Stocking and restocking merchandise as needed
- Helping shoppers find what they need
- Managing transactions at the cash register
- Answering customer questions
- Liaising with managers as needed
- Cleaning the store when needed
- Receiving product deliveries
- Updating displays regularly
