Our client, a well-established packaging company, has an exciting position at their Cape Town Branch for a young Engineering Intern.

The successful applicant will rotate through Divisions for a year and will be responsible for the following: (amongst other duties)

• Overseeing installations of various new multi-million-rand machines and technology ‘
• Overseeing assigned engineering and technical projects
• Ensuring customer satisfaction with respect to all engineering projects
• Developing and implementing project schedules and forecasts
• Coordinating and checking engineering deliverables
• Reporting weekly on project status and change orders
• Planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating the technical and management aspects of projects
• Assisting in the preparation of engineering projects and machine acquisition proposals
• Assisting in the coordination of pricing, estimating, and scoping strategies for proposed projects and in the development and preparation of technical specifications
• Assisting in the preparation or modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, permits, and designs for the project
• Implementing successful engineering projects
• Communicating extensively with assigned project clients, external customers, and suppliers, both overseas and local
• Taking responsibility for commissioning and running multi-million-rand machinery and plant-related projects

REQUIREMENTS

• Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering Degree
• Be willing to build a career in a great company
