Our Client, based in Bellville is looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Accountant who will assist with the administration and management of their internal Retirement Fund (PPF). The main purpose is to maintain the integrity of the data for audit purposes through the  establishment and refinement of systems, procedures and controls for the PPF.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial accounting and monthly reconciliations of the PPF
  • Retirement Fund liaison between members and relevant financial institutions
  • Management and accurate record-keeping of the PPF members database
  • Annual financial audits
  • Actuarial information management
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Medical Aid reconciliations
  • Insurance – full administrative function of all insurance policies    
  • Maintenance of the PPF website
  • Development and distribution of annual PPF newsletter
  • Ad hoc tasks as required from time to time

Minimum Requirements:

  • Relevant financial qualification
  • Min of 7 years accounting experience 
  • 1-2 years’ experience with Retirement Funds
  • Proficiency in Afrikaans
