Overview
Our client a medium-sized national food manufacturer, with production facilities in Johannesburg and Cape Town, is looking for a Management Cost Accountant. This position will report to the Head of Finance and will be based in Cape Town.
Requirements:
- 4 years of formal tertiary studies in total in management and cost accounting, CIMA/CA(SA) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), or postgraduate qualification in cost and management accounting
- At least 5 years of work experience, preferably in food manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Management & Cost Accounting System (incl. Policies & Procedures)
To develop, utilise and refine the cost accounting system and its MIS capabilities. To consistently further the availability of meaningful information for financial & business decision-making.
- Costing Coordination & Control Services
To manage the costing processes and inputs at various stages, so as to enable cost optimisation and control. To direct and guide managers/executives in the effective analysis and management of costs.
- Information, Reporting & Advisory Services
To agree on and provide various reports, information, and advice and guide the use and understanding of information across managerial and cost-control staff, as well as furthering business understanding throughout
